September Wine Club Wines have arrived

Summer is winding down but not our wine club! Our Vault Masters have two great selections for you to try this month. Check out what’s in store and stop in and pick up your selections now!

Evaluna Cabernet del Garda DOC 2014evaluna

Silty/morainic soils with the presence of clay are well-suited soils for Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Sandy soil elevates aromatics and creates softer wines, showing less tannin. The presence of clay allows a balancing act to sand, offering higher extract and color. Vinifying in stainless allows for the fresh red fruits to emerge together with peppery characteristics of the Cabernet duo.

Imagery Chardonnay 2016imagery

With a pale gold hue, the 2015 vintage opens on the nose with the fresh, light scents of melon and white peach. A flintiness comes through on the palate—evoking the impression of a first summer rain—and an initial tartness carries throughout. Delicate flavors, along with the wine’s minerality, build toward a lingering finish, crisp and dry and calling you back for another refreshing sip.

Lavignone 2015lavignone

Barbera d’Asti Lavignone is a bright and aromatic wine with aromas and flavors of red cherries, violets and wild herbs. Soft tannins and a moderate level of alcohol and medium weight make Lavignone an ideal wine for immediate enjoyment. It can be served at room-temperature or slightly chilled and with a wide range of foods.

Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc 2015emollo

With a pale gold hue, the 2015 vintage opens on the nose with the fresh, light scents of melon and white peach. A flintiness comes through on the palate—evoking the impression of a first summer rain—and an initial tartness carries throughout. Delicate flavors, along with the wine’s minerality, build toward a lingering finish, crisp and dry and calling you back for another refreshing sip.

Z. Alexander Brown Uncagedzacbrowncab

“This is my favorite of all of these wines – a wine of exceptional purity and intensity and plenty of character… It tips the scales at a lofty 15.3% alcohol, but it’s well hidden behind a cascade of blackberry and cassis fruit, roasted meats, steak tartare, licorice and Provençal herbs.”

white4

Vina Robles White 4 2014

Light straw color with green hues. An aroma of peach and mango with hints of honeysuckle. A lively medium body taste with layers of fruit and a lingering crisp finish.

“This is a big Bordeaux blend, aged up to three years in neutral oak prior to being bottled. The wine is a 6,000-case North Coast appellation, with elegant black cherry and blackcurrant fruit as well as tobacco leaf, cedar wood, licorice and earth. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.”
